This 1938 American LaFrance is the second vehicle ever owned by the Frankfort Fire Department and has been restored. It was originally purchased for $3,500. The functional truck has made appearances in past parades and is housed at the Pfaff Building next to Frankfort Fire Station #1. Amanda Stoll/22nd Century News

The museum in the Pfaff Building next to the fire station is normally only open by appointment, but it will be open to visitors from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday and Monday this weekend.
