As you’re coming up with plans for the year ahead, I’d like to toss a small game changer your way: relentless candor. 

Usually when we’re considering our New Year’s resolutions, our inner voice goes something like the following: “I really need to get in shape.”

We then might have a two-part action plan: first, join a gym; second, exercise everyday.

Not only is this change too drastic but the desire behind it also is too vague. The guts of the goal haven’t been examined.
