We hope you have enjoyed receiving your award-winning community newspaper free of charge every week for the past 14 years.

In fact, we know you have, as thousands of you have asked us again and again to keep sending you The Frankfort Station.

And we’ve been proud to do so.

We are now counting on your continued loyalty and support as after 14 years of free delivery The Station takes a step forward to become a subscription newspaper.

Starting Thursday, Oct. 3, subscriptions to The Station, your No. 1 source for local news and information, can be secured in several ways: via mail, fax, phone and the web.

To see details, please see the form on Page 25, visit, or call The Station at (708) 326-9170 and ask to continue receiving The Station for less than $1 an issue. That’s just $39 a year.

Over the coming months, anyone who has not subscribed to The Station will be removed from the mailing list.

Through the last 14 years, The Frankfort Station has been the hometown newspaper for Frankfort residents. The newspaper has won the hearts of residents and critics, who have lauded The Station’s coverage numerous times on the national stage.

To continue to provide unmatched coverage of your hometown — from Village Board reports and Lincoln-Way financial news to Fall Fest packages and Griffins sports — we ask you not to wait and subscribe today.

The Station is a locally owned community newspaper. Its parent company, 22nd Century Media, was founded in 2005 and expanded to the North Shore in 2010. Since its founding, the company has added 14 newspapers and websites and has become the largest newspaper group in the southwest suburbs.
