When The Drama Group held auditions for “Fun Home” in July, director Stacy Jancosek took a moment to ask each potential actor to explain what the musical meant to them.

“The stories that I heard were so broad,” she said. “I mean, there were some who were like, ‘Yes I’m a lesbian woman” and ‘yes, I’m a gay person’ and ‘My father, I had struggles with my parents with the same thing,’ but everybody’s story was different. But I realized at that moment, whether you relate to the exact situation or something related, we all have a part of our life that this piece kind of addresses.”
