Nuns aren’t generally known for their sense of humor and comedic wit. Unless, that is, one is referring to the off-Broadway hit “Nunsense.”

The musical began its run in 1985 and has remained popular with audiences today. Now, Mokena’s Curtain Call Theatre is set to begin its run of the zany musical about five nuns — six if you count the puppet, Sister Mary Annette — who devise a talent show of sorts to help raise money for their convent.
