When Jake Leonard first started brainstorming ideas for his Eagle Scout project, he knew he wanted to create something that would help local residents in need.

Leonard, a Lincoln-Way East senior, is a member of Frankfort Boy Scout Troop 270 and has been a Frankfort resident for the past 12 years. Last month, Leonard was one of six young men from the troop recognized at an Eagle Scout Court of Honor ceremony, which celebrates the achievement of attaining Scouting’s highest honor.
