A line of seniors stretched across the Founders Community Center gymnasium on Sept. 18, each waiting his or her turn to receive a flu shot.

The Senior Health Expo/Flu Shot Clinic, hosted by the Frankfort/Mokena TRIAD, was designed to educate senior citizens on health issues.

“The TRIAD is a senior safety group where senior citizens and police work together to help keep seniors safe.” Frankfort Police Department Sgt. Leanne Bender said. “We have meetings every month where different speakers talk about topics that are of interest to the older residents in the area.”
