The Frankfort Village Board of Trustees on April 15 approved a budget for the 2019-2020 fiscal year that includes funding for additional police officers, as well as money for street resurfacing and the delayed St. Francis Road project.

Revenues are about $2 million higher this year than in previous years because of the 1 percent sales tax Frankfort voters passed in 2018, which goes into effect in July, Trustee Cindy Heath noted.
