When the newly remodeled Aldi store in Frankfort opened its doors to the public on Thursday, Sept. 12, the line of shoppers was so long that it stretched around the side of the building and continued across the parking lot.

The store’s grand reopening was part of a company-wide initiative to update Aldi locations across the country with an expanded selection of fresh produce. The first 100 shoppers at the Frankfort location received gift cards to the store, and customers were also invited to enter a sweepstakes for a year’s supply of produce.
