As far as Marist coach Kevin Sefcik is concerned, it’s impossible to overstate senior Max Malley’s importance to the team.

Malley, a Frankfort resident, is a strong defensive catcher and a major aid to the RedHawks’ pitchers. He’s played all over the infield at times this year, as well.

He also bats cleanup and has had some of Marist’s biggest hits on their way to reaching the Elite Eight in Class 4A.
