After a five-game road trip to begin the season, Lincoln-Way East was finally able to put on a show in front of its own crowd in its home opener against district rival Lincoln-Way West on Friday, Dec. 13.

With the help of senior guard Ty Slager and senior center Sean McLaughlin returning to the starting lineup for the first time this season, the Griffins took it to the Warriors early and never looked back on their way to a convincing, 54-36 victory over the Warriors in a SouthWest Suburban crossover in Frankfort.
