Lincoln-Way East was on the ropes.

Tied 14-14 with just over a minute left in the first half against Homewood-Flossmoor on Saturday, Sept. 28, the Vikings had a second-and-13 from the East 21-yard line. But on the play, Vikings quarterback Dominick Jones was pressured by the Griffins defensive line and hurried the throw – allowing East defensive back Larry Burks to read the route and intercept the pass.
