Lincoln-Way East senior Lilly Genis expected things might be a bit rough at the beginning of the season for the Griffins.

Genis and fellow seniors Olivia Molnar and Andie Perch returned with varsity experience, but many of their teammates are new. Several of them are young.

“I thought we were going to come out a little slow with the new freshmen and a couple sophomores, but they have seemed to click well and it’s all coming together faster than I thought,” Genis said.

That gives Genis reason to be excited.
