While putting together its most successful season in years, Lincoln-Way East’s girls golf team has relied heavily on a team mentality.

The Griffins have a group of players who are typically evenly matched. When one struggles, another steps up.

That was the case Oct. 10 at the Class 2A Andrew Regional. While East’s young stars had a bit of a rough day, the seniors picked up the slack to make sure the Griffins would advance to sectionals.
