“We have to keep proving ourselves every game.”

Those words from Lincoln-Way East senior guard Kaley Sheehan rang true for the Griffin girls basketball team this week. They will for the rest of the season, too.

That’s because every SouthWest Suburban Conference Blue Division game will be a battle. That was shown this week as Sheehan scored a game-high 20 points, including some big free throws at the end, as East rallied down the stretch to defeat Sandburg 44-41 in a SWSC Blue battle on Tuesday, Jan. 8, in Orland Park.
