After graduating a highly talented senior class that included the top four hitters on the 2018 state champion team, Lincoln-Way East knew there’d be a bit of a rebuilding process this season.

The Griffins feel they have the potential to be one of the state’s best teams again this year, but they understand there will be bumps along the road.

“There’s a lot of ups and downs in practice, for sure,” senior outside hitter Ike Mahajan said. “Some practices, we look like a terrible team.
