On Feb. 16, the Kiwanis Club of Frankfort will host its 35th Special Olympics Games at Lincoln-Way East High School. The event will be held from 9 a.m. to noon in the school’s fieldhouse, where approximately 80 athletes will participate. The athletes, all with intellectual and physical disabilities will compete in games of skill and ability. All athletes are awarded prizes for their participation. Assisting with the event will be members of the Lincoln-Way East High School Junior ROTC, Frankfort police and fire departments and the Gems from GiGi’s Playhouse in Bourbonnais.
