Nearly three weeks after the Rev. Richard J. McGrath left his post at Providence Catholic High School following allegations that he had “inappropriate” content on a mobile device, both the school and local authorities are staying tight-lipped.

The initial press release from Providence Friday, Dec. 22 stated that McGrath had “retired,” effective immediately.

Following a request for statement, acting president of Providence Catholic High School, the Rev. John Merkelis, declined to comment further on the situation.
