With its 10th straight victory and 15th in its last 16 matches, Lockport (21-6, 2-0) kept its hopes alive for its first SouthWest Suburban Conference Blue title since 2008 with a 25-20, 23-25, 25-17 win over Lincoln-Way East in an SWSC Blue Division matchup on Wednesday, Oct. 3 at Lockport.  

On the other side the defending SWSC Blue champion Griffins (11-16, 1-3) lost their seventh straight match and were eliminated from the conference race.

During their seven-match losing streak, the Griffins dropped four of their last five matches in three sets.
